Iron Portable 10.0.650.1 - password box loses focus

(Also happens with10.0.650.0)

When I start Iron Portable with portable passwords enabled, the splash screen appears and then the password box pops up (as expected) but it immediately loses focus.

This doesn't happen with Google Chrome Portable.

Minor irritation, but I thought it worth a mention.

Splash screen

It sounds like the splash screen is stealing focus from the password box. If you copy Other\Source\IronPortable.ini to the Iron Portable installation folder (IronPortable.exe and IronPortable.ini should be next to each other), then edit the new copy of IronPortable.ini and change DisableSplashScreen=false to DisableSplashScreen=true, does the problem persist?

That fixes it

Yes, disabling the splash screen resolves the focus problem.

But I have the splash screen enabled for Google Chrome and that doesn't steal focus so there's obviously some difference between the splash screens (other than the obvious) of the two packages.

No Splash

Google Chrome Portable has no splash screen. Doesn't the password box get focus back after the splash disappears?

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Not necessarily

I've noticed similar behavior with other apps' splash screens. Since the problem is sporadic, I've never been able to pin down an exact way to reproduce the problem. I did notice that, when a splash closes, the topmost window usually loses focus for a second. Sometimes that window gets focus back; sometimes it doesn't. The only permanent fix I found was disabling splashes on all my portable apps.
