Application: NVDA
Category: Accessibility
Description: NVDA is a free and open source screen reader for the Microsoft Windows Operating System. This software can enable blind or vision impaired people to access computers running Windows, for no more cost than a sighted person. NVDA allows the user to find out what is happening on the screen, by querying the Operating system and using a speech synthesizer to output the information.

looks good, except for these few things:
But there’s no sense crying over every mistake,
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.
OK, Thanks. Will fix.
You need to add NVDA Portable to your signature.

Yes, I was just thinking of that.
Wait, It leaves %Temp%\nvda.log behind? It should not leave that behind.
I posted that problem in the original version of this, the same problem still exists on this version
Please search before posting. ~Thanks
should it move the file to the settings directory, or should it delete it?
Updated.
NVDA 2011.1.1 has just been released; I think this is a good candidate for release when updated and checked.

Hmm, okay. Will check it out.
Yeah, I'd like to get this out as an official release as soon as you have time to update it.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
I looked at a Regshot on the latest release of this software recently and came up with these:

I also looked at the PA.c 2.1 Guidance and found this:
"These are DLL servers and need registering. For the moment, this will block an app from being properly portable. Code to deal with this is due in version 2.2."

Hi all,
I am not really familiar with programming but I created based on the NVDA 2010 Beta a fully working installer for NVDA 2012.1 which has no need to be in Beta stadium because of the fully portable version and the great work of the creator of the 2010 installer. I use NVDA in everyday work and so i found no problems while using it. If autostart is enabled, NVDA will start after lounching the PortableApps Louncher.
The main problem I found is that the louncher isn't really accessible so it's a little confusing because of many accessible programs.
Maybe there is a chance to integrate it into the whole apps list of PortableApps so that visually impaired people are able to install it out-of-the-box.
I'm not really familiar in how developement works, but maybe someone is reading my post and can help out to make the louncher fully accessible. I'd be glad and want to assist you in that case.

Kai, any chance of you updating this any time soon (are you even still around)?
If not I would be happy to take it over. We could really do with a few more apps in the Accessibility category and I think this would be a great candidate.
