Ah! I thought my thread was deleted but alas it was moderated.
That is not (I repeat) a solution to my problem.
As a user I don't care what others' think the menu *should* be. I need more choice and up to date I've been getting that albeit slowly, so as a customer I demand more.
(you can read my other thread about the situation of the original install, maybe provide more options there as well.

Have you tried 2.0 beta5? I am currently using this on windows 7, and the menu does show up in the task switcher.
It amazes me that on the internet you can be anything you want, and yet so many people still choose to be idiots.
