I love this menu except for the fact that i cannot add program groups to better organize the menu. Also the ability to add more than just exe. To be able to launch any file from the menu.

The ability to have something like folders is being worked on for a later release.
Regarding something other than EXEs... what would you want to launch and why?

I have quite a few batch files on my USB.

Um, how 'bout the ability to MOVE the darn WINDOW?...
Maybe it's just me, but I installed the new full portApps suite to my hard drive to check it out, and it just stays parked there at the bottom right corner of my screen. The usual drag and drop attempt to move the window elsewhere is ignored, - it ain't going ANYwhere! (nor can I re-size it, 4 that matter).
What's up with that, John - is it something others have encountered as well, or is it just me?
And in any event, what can I do about it?...
Oh, and one final thing:
Is there a PortApps Suite *forum* (and I just somehow missed it), or should I continue to post my queries about it here?...

That's by design. The same reason you can't move the Windows start menu (unless you move the whole Windows task bar, that is).
And you're posting in the right place. You're asking a question about PortableApps Menu... and this is the PortableApps Menu forum. Though you're hijacking someone else's thread. Why didn't you start one?

I have some web links that i do not want saved as bookmarks and some e-books that i would like to be able to launch from the menu.
how about shortcuts to other programs outside the PortableApps folder

Actually, I'm working on something separate to do this that will work well with the menu. So, for instance, you could make a shortcut to one of the XAMPP control files within the menu.

First off, fantastic job on menu. I would like to see control over names and icons of the apps on the menu along with sub folders and such. Also, perhaps a built in autorun option. Other than that, it rocks.

in addition to all of this, i think an option to not include an exe in the menu would be beneficial. Sometimes a not-so-portable app has additional exes that are not the main program but still need to be present, and wind up just cluttering my menu.. maybe being able to right-click and say 'do not include in portable menu' or something.
If I mighdt add , will be a nice also if we can customise the background of the apps
menu like Pstart does and if so the possibility of changing the colour of the font
for visibility.You see I am a bit of a star trek fan and always try to add a little of trek touch when I can!The rest of the menu is way better than U3 lunchpad, an other reason not to go for U3 drives.
First of all I also have to say that you do a great job and made my life a lot easier with your apps. Your newest development also looks great, but I have to agree with Scott: the autorun function is missing. That's the only thing keeping me from using ist. I use PStart to manage my apps, and when I plug my hard drive in, it automatically starts Firefox and Thunderbird. If the autorun funtion is implemented in a future release, I couldn't be happier. Thanks in advance!
i dont know why my schools computer the autorun doesnt work but its fine on my computer
We can just use same classification on this website as for groups:
* Development
* Games
* Graphics & Pictures
* Internet
* Music & Video
* Office
* Operating Systems
* Utilities
Plus
* Start Up (to put the autorun things)
And customizable(new/delete).
why wont the documents,music, pictures, video and explore folders not work
would be nice.
Reinstall might help, though.
