Does it only occur when the Reader plugin was in use on the last page?

My use of Google indicates that I am insane.
No, it has nothing to do with the reader being opened or not during a session. It happens every time I close Firefox.
I'm on a Win2000 SP4 machine at work where some web-based software needs IE6+ or FireFox,,, IE6+ not supported for Win2K and our IT won't allow a true installation of FireFox... (and now back to the regularly scheduled...)
Every time I close FireFox 4 PE something invokes a call to open Adobe Reader. It fails on my machine because I've got a bad connection in the registry, but that's another story. The point is I can confirm, or second the report that for some reason at close of FireFox 4 PE, Adobe Reader attempts to launch.
