Firefox portable losing plugins directory

I'm sure I've had this before but can't recall the fix.
FF4 was working fine with various plugins.
I ran auto-update and FF4.01 restarted- to show no Flash etc.

Now I turn on about:config to show full URL (set plugin.expose_full_path to true), go to about:plugins and ALL plugins are on C drive, it's not picked up those on the portable drive.

This happened before after an update but can't recall how I fixed it.
I have already tried reinstalling FF4.01 over the top incase the updater was broken.
I have already deleted "pluginreg" in \PortableApps\FirefoxPortable\Data\profile.

When I check the plugin reg file it is listing all of them under "INVALID".

...(Edited)...\Data\plugins\npqtplugin7.dll|$
1302539218000|$

And so on.
(Machine I am on is running WinXP).

Any thoughts? It's the right plugin directory...

Firefox\plugins

FirefoxPortable\Data\plugins is probably being deprecated. Use FirefoxPortable\App\Firefox\plugins instead.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

No such joy. Had already

No such joy. Had already tried that, but did it again just incase.

Same "Invalid" entry generated in pluginreg.dat.
1302539218000 and so on.

Running PortableApps all over the place...

Cannot test it on XP

Cannot test it on XP currently, but:

Aurora and Nightly builds are running plugins from \Data\plugins (or any custom dir if you move it using FirefoxPortable.ini) just fine.

Tested with FF4.01 portable (clean install) - works also.

I guess it's something in Your profile..
* try testing on clean profile
* as far as I know You can just delete pluginreg.dat and new one will be created
(have to disable unwanted plugins again) - might fix it..
