SIWportable.exe creates Malware alert

Latest Version (SIW 2011.05.26) - file siwportable.exe

Virustotal shows:

SHA1 : 9b21f96257d7ac4f7ceb61b8096d2f850f23255b
SHA256: 99e1fb3974304315f3941e3cddacfad2d0982f733266f5f616315b4aa67109fc

ClamAV 0.97.0.0 2011.06.10 PUA.Packed.PECompact-1
Comodo 9027 2011.06.11 Heur.Suspicious
DrWeb 5.0.2.03300 2011.06.11 Trojan.MulDrop2.29434
PCTools 7.0.3.5 2011.06.10 Trojan.Gen

My Norton Internet security detects it as Trojan.Gen.2 and keeps on removing it.

What's the policy anyway? I'd suggest the program's author contacts the antivirus providers and requests to update their detection rules.

"My Norton Internet security detects it as Trojan.Gen.2 and . . . "

Same Here. I just tried it myself about two hours ago and Norton gave the same response.

It's generally up to the products' users themselves to let the product publisher know that their antivirus product is producing false positives. Most providers make it very difficult for a software publisher to contact them and let them know of issues but provide an interface somewhere in the product itself to report issues.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
