It's in the profile

If you copied your profile properly, all your extensions will be there.

Got it!!

I finally just wiped my USB clean and started over. The one problem I had was because I installed the Portable Aps Suite. I have been using other portable apps for over a year. I the Suite did not see my other installed programs. I did not realize it installed the new vesions under its directory and not at the root.

FEBE

The Firefox Extension Backup Extension, better known as FEBE, is great for copying extensions from one profile to another.

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/658/

FEBE converts extensions back into xpi files. Once the backup has occurred the extensions can be batch installed into the new profile by dragging and dropping them into the open Extensions/Addons window in FF. The list of extensions can be quickly edited as you go. Naturally, none of the settings within the extensions will be carried over this way.

If you need to create a new profile that retains your old data like bookmarks, cookies and so on then this is the recipe to follow:

FEBE not very portable.

FEBE is not very friendly to FFP on a USB because of the number of read/writes it does. I would be careful when you use this extension.

Read/writes

Does FEBE increase the number of read/writes when it has not been configured to perform automatic backups? I would not have thought so but I'm certainly not an expert.

In any case, if you're aiming to transfer extensions from a FF profile on your desktop machine to a profile to be used on a USB portable device then the extensions you carry over can be cherry picked in the process. I use FEBE to save/backup extensions, it has no role in installing them to a new profile.

?

I don't know. I have just read (here) that it is not very flash drive friendly.
