About the link Download of additional versions of µTorrent I've tried to download an older version of µTorrent. After downloading the older version (here: version 2.2.1 build 25302) the installer has downloaded the latest version 3.0 of µTorrent.

It downloads from uTorrent's site and they only provide the latest release. They don't provide or support older versions.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
This cause I've already suspected. However, when offered such an archive for older versions, then you could integrate an older version of utorrent.exe in the installer package instead of downloading them. Or is this possibility for some legal reasons not acceptable?

As JTH already mentioned, supports the official website of µTorrent unfortunately only the current version. However, I found another website that offers even older versions of µTorrent to download. For building an archive you could insert the corresponding file utorrent.exe in the installer package instead the usage of an online installer. However, I don't know whether there are legal restrictions.

try to manually download it and then place it next to the portable installer and it should pick it up.

If I understood you correctly, then I should replace the current version of utorrent.exe against the appropriate older version of utorrent.exe in the folder "utorrent" of the installed package. But in this case I have additionally exchange the file utorrent.lng, because the user interface of version 3.0 is different from that of the version 2.2.1.
Correct. In which case you can just remove lng and use the older version in English only.

Once I have changed the current version against an older version of µTorrent and also removed the corresponding file utorrent.lng of the current version, the program offers me immediately the download and installation of the appropriate older file utorrent.lng.
