you mean platform runs on 2000 windows but the individual App to run, has to do with itself the App?

The platform runs on Win 2000 (in fact it runs on Win 95 through Win 7).
Some apps run on Win 2000, but if the normal version of the program doesnt run on Win 2000, we cant do much about that.

just now and yes, most apps will run fine on it just as they will on XP or w7.
There are some exeptions, one I know is the current version of Gimp. This is simply property of the Gimp itself, also the install version does not run on w2k.
