xchat-wdk is a different project, it aims yes to improve xchat but also to try and fix bugs within the source, it is a free build of xchat, PChat is more of my fork working on a new interface, the dev of XChat-WDK and myself don't always see eye to eye though, but his work is pretty good from what I've seen.

XChat has GPL violation issues. For this reason, we offer PChat here instead.

Ah. Sorry then (@ op). I read the description of XChat-WDK and assumed the only difference was the patchset.

yeah, it's a new project of its own separate of the original x-chat, it's actually still being updated regularly unlike the original abandoned x-chat

xchat is not abandon ware just more like a huge gpl violation for the official windows build, source wise it's being updated constantly via svn

It may be abandoned at this point. The last release of a version for any platform was 11 months ago.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
no, xchat's code is on sourceforge svn and it's constantly updated, zed just doesn't do frequent updates.
