portable V5.0.1: can I run it on a Mac?

The portable version 5.0.1 is noted for Windows. Will it work for Mac as well, if added to a flash drive?

Windows only

We only deal with Windows software.

Wine

Yes, if you install Wine onto the Mac which allows the execution of many Windows programs.

doesn't work

I tried Firefox Portable 3.6 on my Mac, and it didn't work.

Add-ons didn't work. They showed up in the add-ons window, but nowhere else.

It also created multiple copies of some files in the profile folder. The new copies all had numbers at the end. These files are extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, localstore.rdf, prefs.js, and sessionstore.js.

This was on Mac OS X 10.6.6 and Playonmac 2.4.5 version of Wine.

I would be willing to test fixes.
