2.0 PR1 Doesn't Save Theme Settings

After updating to 2.0 PR1, my theme was reset (which was fine, and to be expected). The problem is that when I change it back to a theme that I like, then eject my flash drive, and re-insert it, the theme is again set to default. Is this a known issue? I found the setting from which the theme to be used is read in a .ini file, but wasn't quite sure how to set the theme manually. I hope you guys come up with a fix for this! Thanks in advance!

Options Window Only

Only themes available in the options window are currently supported. No settings or custom themes from previous versions are supported. Custom theme support will be introduced in an upcoming pre-release.

Trying to use themes available by default

I am trying to use the blue aero theme that is available by default in this release. The problem is that when I eject and reinsert my flash drive, the default red theme is what is displayed, instead of the aero blue theme that I had previously chosen.

Eject?

Are you properly closing the PortableApps.com Platform and allowing it to save its settings before ejecting? Either using the integrated eject button or closing and then using Windows' safe eject will accomplish this. Third party utilities like EjectUSB that 'shut down' apps on the drive do not, they actual crash apps by killing them which don't allow them to save settings.

Doesn't always work, John. So

Doesn't always work, John.

So far I have only noticed it a few times after installing/updating, but once I could get it to save, I generally didn't change it again.

I have reported this in the official bug report thread, but there is a lot of spam going on there of people re-reporting the same thing over and over, so I am not surprised it got lost.

Thanks Guys

After ejecting and re-inserting a few times, it finally saved my theme setting, so I'm happy. Thank you guys for your help, and for submitting a bug report (I couldn't find a place to do that myself). I also have a problem where when I click the icon in the system tray, the menu doesn't show up. The items will appear individually as I mouse over them. I suppose the place for that problem is in a different thread, though. Thanks again!

No!

Read the release thread. It gives a list of links at the bottom, including the correct place for bug reports.

Oh, I see now. I guess I should have read the entire article instead of just downloading and installing. Sorry!
