Please update the sources link!

The link "Firefox source" on the page https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable
points to a FileZilla repository.

This is wrong. Please fix it and give us the sources.

PS: this is a known failure since at least February 2011.
So the current state violates the license!

Updated

It's updated. It was always browsable from that link by then clicking Home and then Source (Firefox). The source has always been there, hosted by us and linked from the page, you just need to follow an additional link. Even aside from that, the MPL has no source code redistribution requirements when you are distributing unmodified binaries. We do it simply for completeness and convenience.

We distribute the source code for every open source app we make portable and distribute ourselves. Always have. We're the only portable software project that actually follows these rules. Please keep this in mind and read up on the licenses and our procedures before making unfounded accusations in the future.

hmm, but your 5.0.1 sources

hmm, but your 5.0.1 sources are (packaged) the same as the original sources - up to the byte. So where are the "portable changes"? - only in the starter?

Original Binaries

We don't make changes to the Firefox binaries. So all we do is redistribute the unaltered source as well. This is standard operating procedure with most of our apps. We're not required to do this under the MPL, we just do it for completeness and convenience.

The Firefox Portable launcher source is included in the package in the Other\Source directory in every release, unless you got your package from one of the other portable software sites that has taken our work and redistributed it illegally.

That answers all my

That answers all my questions. I take back all of what I said and now maintain the exact opposite...

Sorry :-(

The fault for alkj's accusations is partly mine as I was under the impression that FF was an exception to other apps here and it had been modified. I told alkj that I was under this impression on IRC.

Sorry for any misdirection I caused, and thank you John for the clarification.

It amazes me that on the internet you can be anything you want, and yet so many people still choose to be idiots.
