I`m running Portable FireFox 5.0 (Version 4.0 > update to 5.0) under windows 7.
It is not installed on a pendrive but in partition E: of harddisk.
There are a lot of traces left in System partition C:
C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\995lnza3.default\ (Files and folders)
C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox (Files and folders)
The question is: Can I avoid this?
What happens if I delete all these files and folders?
Thank you. !!
Are you sure you don't have Firefox installed locally and that is what is placing those files there? Are you sure you're only running FirefoxPortable.exe and *never* running firefox.exe directly and not associating firefox.exe with html files or the like? Are you sure you're letting Firefox Portable close properly before checking for files left behind?
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Incredible fast and precise. Thank you very much!!. I dont have Firefox locally.
When I check for files left, Firefox is properly closed.
I am sure of every one of your tips except one. I have an association of firefox.exe with htm and html files. I will find how to undo this association and see what happens.
As an additional info, I have an exactly similar problem with Thunderbird 5 port.
Tanks four you help.

If you associate firefox.exe with those files, it won't run it portably. Same goes with Thunderbird; if you always run it from ThunderbirdPortable.exe, you won't have any problems. But if you register Thunderbird directly in any way, it'll break portability.

But I allready made the mistake of associate both, Firefox an Thunderbird.
The big question is if there is any way to go back without reinstalling my PC.
