[Glitch] Dual title bars in Windows XP Pro SP3, Firefox Portable 5.01

Image pretty much speaks for itself. Both sets of window buttons (e.g. minimize, close) work. Only the top one can be double-clicked on for maximize/restore, though.

Right-clicking and adding, then removing the menu bar removed one, but the tabs are now below the address bar, not up on the title bar, and I have a second taskbar entry for "Mozilla Firefox" (where the first one is the title of the page).

//edit: Issue between Firefox and XP, not something PA can fix with the portable launcher. Restarting it can fix it. Getting a newer OS works, too, if that's an option. I recommend Windows 7 Home Premium or some flavor of Linux.

Restart

A restart fixed it, but it's back to the old bug, which I meant to report but never did. The minimize, restore/maximize, and close buttons can only be activated via the top 10%. Clicking them anywhere below that does nothing. This is very likely a Windows problem, but it only happens in Portable Firefox.

XP Theme

I know there are occasional issues with the theme on XP in Firefox itself. It's not something we can cause or solve in Firefox Portable.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Figured

I figured as much. Thought I'd bring it up anyway, just in case. I'll change the tag from Bug, not sure what to put though. Can't really say Resolved if there isn't a solution, but something like that.

Honestly!

You've been around here long enough to know that you don't yell fire in a crowded theater (or BUG!) until you've run the program clean (no extensions, no themes, no weird stuff) and then maybe only after running it from a fresh new install.

Have you done that?

Can't really say Resolved if there isn't a solution, but something like that.

What a cop-out! Do your proper testing, and then come back...

Calm down

Calm down, no reason to get excited. Nothing about my posts has been out of line. It is very clearly a glitch; there's no cop-out or other tomfoolery about it.

Doing all of that would have fixed the problem. Fixing a problem does not mean there wasn't a problem to start with.

Lastly, the purpose of posting bugs is to post niche experiences that a dev will want to track down and fix.

Firebug?

Exactly this was an issue between a certain combination of Firebug and Firefox for a while; try disabling all your extensions and see if it goes away.
