How come searching 1 keyword in addressbar is going to <keyword>.com site

Already tried this topic, but it doesn't work...
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Location%20bar%20search?s=config&as=s

Also tried downloading new firefox portable edition and removed the data folder. But still the same problem.

Tried installing the desktop edition of firefox and also there the same problem. Removed the app with Revo Uninstaller, which also scans the computer for left overs, but still the same problem.

Tried to disable all plugins but still the same problem.

So the problem is when i type a keyword like 'test', it goes to www.test.com. Instead of the google website. When i use 2 keywords is good.

On another computer (of a colleague, not a portable edition) this problem doesn't occur.

Had this problem with version 5 and 6.

Works here

I made the about:config setting for keyword.URL set to:
http://www.google.com/search?&q=

and then ran your test by putting "test" (with no quotes) into the address bar, and it gave me Google with the standard search for the word "test".

"keyword.enabled" must have the value "true"

Please add the entry "about:config" into the addressbar of Firefox. After pressing Enter add in the filter line the entry "keyword.enabled". The value must be "true". If in your case the value is "false", please double-click on "keyword.enabled" to switch the value to "true".
