My stuff is messed up.

I haven't had any problems with any versions of Firefox Portable 2.0 before but now when I opened the browser I was surprised to see the default theme loaded, so I went to look for my original one in the themes part but it's not there anymore. What's more is that a lot of my extensions also disappeared and some just suddenly became "Not compatible" with FF 2.0 which is strange because they were working before. I haven't updated FF 2.0 and I don't think there's even an update yet so I'm clueless. When I try to find updates for extensions and themes it doesn't find anything.

If it helps, just before this happened (45 minutes ago) I pulled out my USB without safely removing hardware thing because it tells me it can't be stopped, which happens occasionally and I did that many times before but nothing bad happened.

Oh man, I wish I had back up my profile...

It's still there... and you can save most of it.

It's just partially corrupted. There's a couple of bugs in Firefox 2 (the app itself, not the portable stuff) that prevent it from closing correctly... so even when you close the window, it's still running (you'll see firefox.exe in task manager). So, if you pull the drive, you might corrupt your profile.

You could try starting in safe mode (just start FirefoxPortable.exe from the command line and add -safe-mode after it). Or you could rebuild your profile as explained here:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Migrating_settings_to_a_new_profile

Just make a copy of FirefoxPortable\Data\profile in a safe place. Then delete the folder. Firefox Portable will automatically create a new profile there when you run it. Exit FFP (and be sure firefox.exe closes). Then copy in the appropriate bits from your copy of your old (corrupted) profile into the new base profile.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Okay, I got it.

Thanks, I got most of my stuff back and working even though that guide said not to copy any extension files but I did anyway because that's the entire point of trying to restore my profile!
