Pidgin: Spell Check Not Working

Hello
Spell check is not working by default in portable pidgin. Also it doesnt work even if I recheck the spell check option. It is working in the original installer.

Please suggest.
Thanks

Add It

Spellcheck needs to be added manually: https://portableapps.com/support/pidgin_portable#spellcheck

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Same problem

Are those steps out of date now? I don't have that path structure.

Mine ends at: PidginPortable\App\Pidgin\spellcheck\

but I found the folder 'enchant' in this way: App\Pidgin\spellcheck\lib\enchant

but there is no folder 'myspell'

and inside my 'enchant' folder are two files:

libenchant_ispell.dll
libenchant_myspell.dll

What do I do?

edit: Also, the link to the OpenOffice.org dictionary is dead.

Careful reading :)

As indicated in that link, you need to create that file structure.

As for the dictionaries, see here for where to get them: http://developer.pidgin.im/wiki/Installing%20Pidgin#manual_win32_spellch...

I did read carefully, I was

I did read carefully, I was just worried since the guide is a bit old and I already had those folders, just with different paths. I didn't want to mess it up because they had changed. I'm just a big worrier Smile

Thanks for the help and the new link.
