In regards to my last post with the security question, Is it at all possible to install a portableapps program on the U3 launchpad, or is it not compatible?

The U3 Platform is designed to be completely closed to outside software. And it's very dead and unsupported now.
There are some hacks around that are supposed to enable it. But none of them work right. And they all result in an installed app that if you try and upgrade it by packaging and installing a new U3-hacked version you lose all your settings. Needless to say, we neither support nor recommend such hacks.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Yes, although a little indirectly. If you download this mini U3 app ( http://www.filefactory.com/file/b1h7653/n/PAMenu.U3P ) and install it to your U3 Launchpad it will add the PortableApps Menu to the U3 menu. You end up with the best of both worlds. And no hacking necessary.
Do note that you have to have PortableApps installed on the drive for the U3 menu item to work. The U3 app doesn't do it for you.
