Apps installed from the Chrome Web Store, such as Offline Gmail, Offline GDocs, etc. store the data on the local machine, can this be addressed?

weird.... problem seems to go away after the first run. i'll check again. I'm positive i found the db in the local folder on first run. if it doesn't return, then great.
If you're seeing this while Chrome is running, but not afterwards, this is by design.
That seems quite insecure, if the browser crashed then the user's email would be left behind, right? Any idea if the db is encrypted?
It would also mean that the mail needs to be copied to and from the USB drive each time chrome is started and closed, right? Seems like that could cause delays if the user has a lot of offline mail.
It should have temporary file place holders just to run, so that it _isn't_ constantly writing to the usb as that would cause a lot of slowing down.

At the moment, any browser that installs 'apps' does not install them portably. This applies to Opera as well. The app itself doesn't have any settings to even permit it.
Unless we can get a deeper analysis of Google Chrome and where it is attempting to store this data (and why it's ignoring the setting to store it on the drive), perhaps we should note these as unsupported as it doesn't seem like they are widely used or tested.
