Why is Firefox 8 Aurora Alpha 2 not portable, i think it is very interesting to test, the new features and so one. by google chrome i can download the dev(alpha) why not Firefox alpha?
I hope you make it portable and add this to the page by Firefox beta under this download.
Thanks
I know that aurora is built daily, so maybe it isn't a good idea.
its not even beta ready or Release Canidate ready. we do not put unfinished product on this site. thats why.
And why is chrome dev by portable apps?
earlier ff aurora was here!
We do offer Chrome dev builds, but they are the beta releases, done every couple weeks. The Firefox Aurora channel is nightly builds, there's no way we could keep up with testing & publication of a new build every night.

Yes, but we could also just have an online installer pull Firefox Aurora from Mozilla's FTP.
As it changes all the time, we can't. All apps require an MD5 sum for online installer downloads so we can ensure the file isn't later replaced with something else. As the Aurora build changes at least once per day, this would be impossible. I have something else in mind but it's a lower priority as it's a nightly build (not really alpha or beta).
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Mozilla seems to have reorganized their FTP to use dates rather than the 'trunk' setup they had before, but NSIS should be able to calculate the current date to make up for that. And to solve the MD5 problem, Mozilla has SHA1 checksums available.
I'm not saying that's what should be done, just that it's possible.
