How to copy Opera passwords to OperaPortable?

I have Opera installed on my local machine and would like to use
the passwords for my portable version. I've copied all files in my profile
directory and the bookmarks etc are working, except the passwords.

I've tried to copy wand.dat file. But the portable version does not show any passwords, Can anyone help me with this?

Forms/enable password manager

should be checked

Thanks

Thanks ceciliaFX for your reply. It was checked, so I unchecked and checked it again, this created a wand.dat file, which I replaced with my local file. And this worked!

Same problem here

Hey,

I think I've got the same problem here Sad Everytime I try to login, portable opera shows only the username. I've saved a new pass to the wand.dat and that one works fine in contrast to the old ones. Any ideas? Probably need to save every pass again right? Sad

Edit:
Just copied the wand.dat back into original opera and it can read the old ones but not the newly saved one from the portbale version. looks like there is a general problem...

Version Locked

It seems that a specific wand.dat is locked to a specific install of Opera, whether local or portable. You'll need to ask the Opera folks for more information.

had another idea

thx for now. I don't know if I've understood you correctly. I've already moved the wand file from several not portable installations there wasn't any problem.

I had another idea, which is halfway working Biggrin If I delete the master wand password in opera. The portable version can also read the passwords, but when I set again a master password (portable version) it can no longer read them Sad -.-
