Show the PA.c Platform in the Windows XP/Vista Taskbar

Hello,

I would like to know if there is some .ini edit or something that could force the PortableApps.com Platform to show in the taskbar on Windows XP/Vista. It's very easy on Windows 7, I just set the line of the ini file "windows7taskbaricon" equal to TRUE, but I'm not sure how I might go about to do this in Windows XP/Vista or if it is even possible to do. The reason being is that I use the platform at my school, where every student has their own user, and my school's server has a mix of Windows XP machines and Windows 7 machines, and they block a ton of features of the Operating System, including the Notification area. Now I know they block them because they don't want people screwing with their system (especially people like me), but this makes it so I cannot reopen the platform on the XP machines once I launch an app. Now, I would just go into the Task manager and end it through its process, but since they block the task manager too, I can't do that either. I could go about by going into the individual folder that contains the actual app, but I'm human. And something about us humans is that we are lazy. So I just wondered if this was possible to do in any way.

Thanks in advance.

Not quite what you are

Not quite what you are looking for but Ctrl + Alt + Space will show/hide the menu, as long as the platform has access enough to register shortcut keys.

EDIT: Once again not quite what you are after, but there used to be a setting to make the platform always visible. I'm not sure if it is still a valid setting, but you could try it. Details can be found in the platform support advanced features.

Yeah, you're right, it's not

Yeah, you're right, it's not exactly what I was looking for, but it's a temporary solution for the moment. If anyone else has any ideas to this, please let me know.
Thanks
