CCleaner, and other Piriform apps.

I fix a lot of computers and I always use the Piriform utilities to perform basic maintenance. It would be nice to have these installed on my Portable Apps flash drive, so I don't have to download and install the software for each computer I work on.

Apps: CCleaner, Defraggler, Recuva, and Speccy.

Licence: Freeware

Website: http://www.piriform.com/products

Piriform provides portable builds of each app (example here: http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/builds ).

The licence states:

"You may NOT resell, charge for, sub-license, rent, lease, loan or distribute the Product without our prior written consent. We reserve the right to withdraw any such consent (or part thereof) for any reason and without notice and to demand that you immediately cease any activity in respect of which permission is withdrawn."

The full licences can be found here: http://www.piriform.com/legal

Working on it.

John has sent emails to Piriform about the inclusion of their apps on PA.c, however I do not know the status. This has been requested many times though, so we're trying.

In addidtion, there are

In addidtion, there are Development Tests here in the Beta forums: CCleaner, Defraggler, Recuva and Speccy. Even the old ones of Nathan9222 work well but some (Defraggler/Recuva) need copying the base app to the App folder.
They once provided a download function that is now broken, maybe because the location switched. CCleaner Portable still downloads the latest version and checks for updates on every start.
And Speccy Portable is maintaind well... Wink

Why not just use Piriform's

Why not just use Piriform's portable ones?

Some of us do.

I do this. But then you have to update manually. Having PA versions would mean that you could get your updates via the software update app.

No, actually I use the launcher from the beta forum. I used to use the official portable at home, until I discovered Ninite. Wink Still, I have to update that manually as well.
