Sunbird: Time Discrepency

Time Discrepancy

During the creation of an “event,” using the latest version of Sunbird (PortableApps via the new suite which I love by the way), a serious issue occurs. The creation of an event requires that one name it, select the date of the occurrence, and associate it with start and end times. The times are problematic. For example, when I say I want to schedule my final exam for December 7, 2006 starting at 8:30 AM and ending the same day at 12:30 PM the event is created. However, on that date the calendar shows “Final Exam 9:30 AM.” When I place my cursor over the event it shows the times as 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

It seems that the start times that are inputted are being decremented by 1 hour and the end times are being incremented by 1 hour. Does anyone else experience this anomaly?

This problem occurs consistently and seems to permeate the core component within Sunbird, scheduling event times. How could such a problem avoid discussion in this forum for as long as it has? Is this problem unique to me or are others seeing the same?

Probably....

because this is not a protable sunbird problem, that is why noone here has talked about it. You need to head over to sunbirds site and leave a message in their forums. There are probably alot of people there that could discuss this with you.
