When I select Wave output in BonkEnc Portable, the language turns to Arabic. I guess this is not an intended feature.
Maybe the bug is in the process of how you make an app portable? Because the original BonkEnc software works perfectly.

Just tested my portable install and can't reproduce. I suggest you try a fresh install just in case.

The problem still persists on a completely new copy of Windows, computer, version of fre:ac. Anybody else?
I tried it on my Windows 7 box and my clean Windows XP virtual machine. Selecting Wave output changed nothing. As you're the only one that has ever reported it, it could be something odd with your PC. Do you perchance have Arabic set as your ANSI language in Control Panel? Some apps will use that for their settings.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
As I said it's a new computer now. No, I don't use Arabic, I'm Hungarian. So I set Hungarian as keyboard input on my English Windows 7. Last year it was an XP box.
No news on this?
There's really not much more I can do on my end. I can't reproduce it under any OS or conditions. And WAVE output settings shouldn't affect anything within fre:ac. The fact that they do indicates a bug in fre:ac. I don't know hot to trigger or fix it, though. If it were a straight portablization bug, it would start in Arabic.

Thanks for the update, John.
