Is there any way to set a specific sourceforge mirror for Updater? The mirror chosen as the nearest geographically is not so “near.”

Yah, when I use sourceforge, it loads iWeb, which is halfway across the USA from me. CDNetworks in San Juan is closer. I guess it is a problem in pinpointing the location from your IP address and therefor on SF's end

BTW, “PortableApps.com Updater 1.0 Beta 2” had this feature:

If there's interest, I could add it in as a feature. It's not in from the old Beta 2 updater as the current updater was a complete re-write for better features and performance. It'd probably only be recommended for advanced users as some mirrors are bad about updating timely, so you may not be able to get new releases right away. When using the redirector, it understands this and if the app isn't yet on your normal mirror, it'll give you a different one.
