where is personal data stored?

i am using portable firefox 1.5.0.8 as part of the Torpark distribution. i was wanting to NOT clear my private data (history, passwords, forms, downloads, cookie, cache) if possible, without leaving a trail on the HDD of the PC being used. where is this data stored, the USB flash drive, or is some of it written to the HDD (registry, etc). if i don't clear private data, am i still anonymous as far as the host PC is concerned?

For Firefox Portable

For Firefox Portable, it keeps everything on the key. If TorPark works the same way still, then it's the same. I'm not actively involved in current development, though, and I don't support TorPark. You'd have to ask them for an official answer.

i did, and their response

i did, and their response was that firefox portable is the one that determines where the data is stored, and not torpark...so, that being said then, your answer that firefox portable keeps it on the key answers my question. thanks for the quick response...

Modified

TorPark actually heavily modifies the Firefox Portable code (and it's based on an older version of my launcher) so it probably works the same as, say, Portable Firefox 1.5.0.4 or so... but I can't be sure.

Yes, but

Mostly. It leaves a file behind on the local system. And, like I said, the TorPark code is heavily modified from Firefox Portable... and I haven't reviewed it... so I can't speak at all to where stuff is placed in their package.

understandable. the

understandable. the developer with Torpark said that they have not modified how FFPortable handles private data - thus i needed to ask you how FFPortable handles the data. what file is left behind with FFPortable?
