3.4.4. fails to download

The portable apps platform wishes to download a new version 3.4.4 of LibreOffice, but every time I allow it to continue it fails with

Download Error. Reget Error on file
Outdated download link removed

I'm on Windows 7 Professional, fully patched and run portable apps on a Sandisk Cruzer micro 16Gb. Language is British English

Any ideas what's wrong?

Wrong link

I guess you downloaded this using the built-in updater, right?
Try downloading it manually from here until the link is fixed in the updater database by John T. Haller.

EDIT: And you can edit the main post if you want to add anything Smile

Manual Install

Thanks, Simeon.

I eventually came to that conclusion myself and did install it manually this morning Smile

Manual Install does not work

I've tried both offered packages on LibreOffice.org, PortableApps.com,and the installer (ver. 10) and all I get are errors. The downloads start out about 9 mins/117 megs and end @ 19.9 megs for all sources.

NSIS Error:

Installer integrity check has failed. Common causes include
incomplete download and damaged media. Contact the installer's author to obtain a new copy.

It seems like the web browser knows the correct size but a third program on a timer is closing the tap prematurely.

I don't like oracle or open office, so I hope this is resolved soon.

Is your download size limited

Is your download size limited (eventually by a corporate security solution)? If I got it right, your download via web browser didn't succeed as well.
Could you try it on a different machine?

Resolved: AntiVirus was the problem

Thanks for the reply,

I posted my problem on the LibreOffice mailing list and someone suggested I turn off real-time antivirus, and that worked. Apparently there's a pattern that trips Avast 6.0 at about 28.8 MB into the download and Avast doesn't bother throwing a flag or logging the event.
