I've been poking and scouring over there @ SoftPedia to see anything worth PAFing
Any1 know good portable firewall? Are real-time AVs and firewalls and PORTABLE oxymorons? Any1 claiming at anytime (even with future technologies) are scam artists? B4 every1 starts knocking me , remember the advantages of PAFs: easy duplicating app setups from 1 machine to another, easy uninstalling, no registry mucking up, etc, etc. yeah i see these benefits still outweigh any of the standard reasons for not PAFing a given app. But then I'm not a coder, haha

Can SpywareBlaster, SpywareGuard, EULAlyzer, and MRU-Blaster @ http://javacoolsoftware.com/products.html be PAF'ed?

Proactive protection:
· An antivirus normally compares the data with a database of known malicious codes, and thus reveals the most viruses. In the critical period between the onset of the virus and its inclusion in the database, proactive protection is able to recognize the malware according to suspicious behavior or its structure.
Is above paragraph saying real-time? (tho it's 30-day trial and nagware)
Likewise, r these real-time AV (all from this page (newest to oldest)

How to create a good rescue tool? Rescue/troubleshooting whether from crashed/dead PC and/or malwares? What device is best for such tool...portable HDD, USB flash stick, write-once CD/DVD, what? What apps (I'm talking mostly PAFs unless we can't help it) should be included on such device (I hear EVEN some sort of Linux???)?
as portable firewall can exist.
There are however hardware toys, which have kind of half of the firewall in them and when connected to a computer via usb and running the service on that PC they claim to guide all traffic over this gadget and attempt to 'filter' it. But note: all that traffic is passing from the ethernet socket via the whole PC with ram and drives etc first before it arrives at the cleaning point of the special usb hardware toy. Well this should work?? I dont know, but have some basic logical doubts.
it is called yoggie, but found just that the company went out of business recently, so even this was not the real success , http://www.yoggie.com/New_Yoggie/Welcome.html
The next strange thing is so called usb firwall. It is not a firewall at all, it is just some software which will monitor the usb traffic on your PC.

Well I've used SterJo Portable Firewall in the past. I am not sure if it will satisfy your needs but it is a portable. Basically it is really good to examine your connections.
