If this has the features of KMPlayer does that also mean this also has the GPL violations that KMPlayer does?

Apparently, the problem with KMP was that it linked to source codes of GPL instead of including it.

It also matters how ffmpeg is compiled. If it is compiled with GPL components (which I believe is how the default libraries are) then you can't legally use those components with a closed source player. No ifs ands or buts. The only way to use ffmpeg with a closed source front-end player is to compile it specifically as LGPL licensed (excluding all GPLed components) and then distribute it properly with the license, all copyrights attached and distribute the source code yourself.
Of course, if they haven't done that all along, then their rights are automatically rescinded and can only be reinstated by the copyright owners.

It's the best video player EVER. The x64 version starts really fast and play HD videos very well! Bye bye KMPlayer hehe
I used to do KMplayer all the time but dev stopped on that when he sold it. Pot Player is KMP and more, very nice! Plus native x64 version for Win7 x64 folks like me. Hoping for a PortableApps version ... (x32 and x64 please)

However, the software is only available in Chinese (Traditional) . But you can change it to English after you had unzipped and ran it..
