Would members recommend Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Google Chrome for this application? Would all of the portable applications for the above have flash player?
as far as I understand it it is a web TV.
You can not have IE portable, but firefox and chrome is ok.
Flash is not portable by design, but is you use search function in this forum, you will find lot of hints how to copy the flash files to your portable browser.
However it may leave some special flash cookies on the host computer. Those can be removed manually or by use of special extension, BetterPrivacy for example.

Portable apps are not an operating system. They are a suite of apps similar to the Dish Network apps that you wish to put on the USB stick. IE will be on any pc running Windows that you plug the USB stick into. Flash probably also.
So if you load/install your Dish Network app/s onto the USB stick it may run. And it may run with one of the PortableApps browsers on the stick also.
IMO It depends on what changes to Windows the Dish Network app/s make when you install them.

no, they do not have any app, it is not a software, it is just a webservice what they sell, simply a collection of TV channels streamed with flash.
Just any browser with flash installed will do the job.
Or at least the link given points to such website.

And the lack of Adobe Flash seems to be the problem. Can anybody tell me if I can get Adobe Flash to work on a USB flash drive or do I need to use something else for this application?
enter flash into the search box and you will find lot of threads about flash.
Flash can be made portable, or kind of half portable in fact, as it will leave some files on the host computer in many cases.
And you don't need anything else for this application, as this is just a simple website and not any kind of special program.

You say you have Chrome, and the latest versions of Chrome come with the Flash plugin pre-installed. If you use Chrome Portable you should be able to use Flash portably as well.
[Is portably a word? If not it should be.]
I will give Chrome Portable a try. Thanks for the tip!
