I've noticed after upgrading Thunderbird Portable to 9.0, that it thinks it's on the beta update channel, and is thus offering me a beta of the next version as a recommended update.
I looked in the about:config window, and it shows app.update.channel is set to "beta" and it shows that as the default setting.
This does not seem right.

so long as 'automatically check for updates' is left blank shouldn't be getting those prompts to update I think ..... presume it's the newest beta, identical in code to release anyway?? works fine with me
