I saw in the donor list, that not many people donated for PA.
One way how to make people donor money would be to add the donor status to the username in the forums.
So instead of my username "OLLI_S" there is my rank displayed:
OLLI_S (Supporter).
This might encourage people to donate money.
If some users help in the forums (answering questions and helping users) they might get also a special rank.
They helped a lot although they did not donate money (they donated time).

I have an additional idea: instead of adding the text "Supporter" you may add an image (like you have it for the developers).
What do you think about this idea?
In my eyes such a symbol might encourage people to donate.

An icon or tag might be a good idea.
How about giving donors a discount on the Companion? That should help.

So you think people who donate $100 shouldn't get a 20% price break!! Interesting.
$100 - ($40 x 20%) = $92 in my book. Hardly "the whole benefit of a donation".

I want to come back to my suggestion, that sponsors can have a special symbol (like the translators o the developers).
Maybe you show a different symbol for the sponsored amount (Supporter, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum).
This might encourage the users to sponsor more money.
If I look at the list of sponsors, I see that:
It seems like you did not get much money from the sponsors.
But I don't know if you have other sponsors that don't want to be on this list.
I love PortableApps and I really hope that you have enough sponsors.
So my idea should encourage people to sponsor more money.
Are the donations of one user summed up?
Means: when a user sponsors $25 (he is a supporter) and after some months or years he sponsors $50 and then he sponsors $25 again, he sponsored all together $100.
So, is this user still a sponsor (because the largest amount he sponsored is $50) or does he become a Bronze sponsor?
If all donations are summed up, then this could encourage the people even more.
Like "I just have to sponsor $25 more bucks to become a Bronze sponsor and then I get this cool icon on my postings".
Please think about my suggestions, they might help you to get more money.
