Unable to load all accounts after hibernation

Hi,

I was using Thunderbird portable when suddenly laptop goes hibernation due to low power. Plugged in AC power then resume hibernation doesn't seem to show any problem. Everything resumes as expected.

I then properly close all portable apps, then close main PortableApps menu, then unmount drive. Doesn't seem to show any problem either. Everything closes properly.

On my next use of my Portable Thunderbird, there goes the problem. A major problem. Thunderbird startup like it is a newly installed thunderbird without any accounts on it and asking me to create new accounts. I check the folders under /data and everything seems to be intact. All profiles folder are there.

Tried to unmount and remount and run again but the same happens. All my accounts in Thunderbird doesn't load anymore.

Anyone know how can I load all the accounts back?

Thanks

System info

By the way, here's the info on my PA.

Thunderbird 8.0
PA Next Pre Release 4.2

I have tried using PA in Win XP and Win 7 to eliminate possible Win 7 built in access restriction but the same thing happens between XP and 7

Thanks

==EDIT==

Never mind.. got it sorted out.

Same problem...

Hi, this is my first post.

I have the same problem with Thunderbird Portable.
After an hybernation, now the application starts with the windows "Impostazione account di posta" or if you prefer "Account Settings".

any idea about how to solve it?

thanks

Mik

Crash

Letting windows hibernate with apps running from a USB drive is often the same as unsafely ejecting the drive. Windows resumes (and the apps do, too) BEFORE the USB drive is reconnected coming out of hibernate. So, you get a crash you then have to recover from.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

How?

Thanks You John,

some help on how to do the recover?
I see that all emails are inside the "profile" directory.

How can I put Thunderbird in a normally state?

************* after some hour !!! *************

Ok, the problem is solved!
In the "ThunderbirdPortable\Data\profile" directory i found 3 prefs.js files.
The prefs.js file is pratically empty and prefs-1.js and prefs-2.js are more interesting (i see informations about my accounts).
After rename "prefs.js" to "OLDpref.js", and prefs-1.js to "prefs.js" the problems seems solved.

My only question now is why ?

Thanks again

Mik
