GetIf

Hi, has anyone had any joy trying to get GetIf (http://www.wtcs.org/snmp4tpc/getif.htm) as a portable app? It seems that it will only work if it is also installed on the host PC suggesting that it relies on some dll's resident on the host. Also it won't work at all in Win7.

Any ideas?

thanks

Dead App

It looks like a long-dead app and will likely never work on anything past Windows XP (maybe Vista, but not Windows 7/8). If apps don't work on Windows 7 and later, they aren't accepted for portablization and inclusion in the directory.

thanks for the reply, however do you know of anything else that does the same job, i.e. graphing SNMP data over time

Google

A quick google search for graphing snmp turned up a couple options.

thanks John. I've tried

thanks John. I've tried trawling through the mire that is the Google results page on the subject (and am still trawling through the results).

I'm after something that I can distribute for free without a license, does anyone already know of anything? Any help will be appreciated, thanks.

Nothing

Even GetIf is freeware, meaning you'd need publisher permission before distributing it as a portable version. You're going to have to do the legwork to contact a publisher.

Freeware

Sorry, my mistake, I meant distribute amongst my collegues, not as in distribute freely to all and sundry.

Still illegal

That is still illegal. Redistribution of modified freeware is illegal without permission of the publisher, no matter who you're distributing to, unless the freeware's license specifically allows it, and this application does not.
