Notepad2-mod Portable 4.2.25.698 has been released. Notepad2-mod is a lightweight text editor with syntax highlighting for a few commonly used languages and some new features beyond regular Notepad2 like code folding, bookmarks and additional languages. This release updates Notepad2-mod to the latest version. It's packaged in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Platform. And it's open source and completely free.

This also happens if I try to launch the actual software instead of through the PortableApp wrapper.

This is a bug in the base app on your machine. You can report it to the Notepad2-mod project page if you would like a resolution. We only make it portable. You could also try the more-stable Notepad2 or Notepad++ apps.
