Version 0.4.5.1 (beta), Development Test 1 (2010-06-19):
Initial Release (major thanks to xuesheng for finding a baffling problem with the PortableApps.com Installer which was preventing the Double Commander installer from being compiled successfully)
But no language switching? I think the installer should reflect the available app languages too.
You should probably be doing a drive switch on "doublecmd.ini".
Do you need all the PAL files in Other\Source? "DoubleCommanderPortable.ini" (the one that disables the splash etc.) isn't there either.
There's also a comprehensive looking help file at "App\doublecmd\doc\en\index.html". Maybe you should link to it from help.html?
I did have a look at this myself but you beat me to it! Here are the files if you want to use any of them...
DoubleCommanderPortable.ini:
installer.ini:
I think we've more or less taken to offering all languages in the installer rather than limiting it to any that an app may support itself... it saves time later updating the list (and forgetting), and gives people more choice in the installer... whether or not they get it later in the actual app. Just today I went and removed that section from BPBible's installer.ini and left it at just multilingual, mainly because I suddenly realised BPBible Portable 0.4.6 went out with a couple of languages missing in the installer because of that (not that it matters really).
That's a nice looking launcher.ini, covers everything well

OK, I'll delete all my installer.ini files. Most of my portables are multilingual, so that's an important thing for me to remember.
That's not worth a new DT, though, right?

I actually haven't added lang switching to any of my portables yet; I'm pretty busy IRL, and haven't had time to experiment with the lang switching. I'll probably do that sometime in July.
With regard to the PAL files, I always include those in Other\Source. Do you think I shouldn't?
The lack of DoubleCommanderPortable.ini was an oversight on my part; I'll correct it in DT 2, probably at the same time I throw in lang switching.
Good idea on the documentation! I'll link to that in DT 2 as well.
Thanks for the files; my version actually has most of that, but the lang stuff will be very useful. If you don't mind, I'll probably use that both for DT 2 and as something to study; I learn better when I have examples as well as documentation.
Thank you!

Edit: I couldn't get the program to repeat these problems. I don't know what happened, but it was probably PEBCAK.
Maybe this had something to do with it? In the program, users who delete extra language files should know that all of the files show the language in the filename EXCEPT the default English file has no language designation. Ya shouldn't kill that one!
