hey
I've downloaded some portable apps from another site.
how can I be sure these apps are actually portable? don't have the source code or anything...
also, these apps are actually great, I want them to be part of PortableApps.com's suit - how can I pass it on the PotableApps.com's team for that purpose ?

The only one I really trust is this site. I have had a lot of success with portablefreeware.com - they don't produce apps, but they do give a lot of info on their portability.
If you want to suggest apps to be made official here, there are a couple of things you should do.
First, look at the list of official apps carefully - there are a lot of apps here, so it's easy to overlook one.
Second, check to see if your app is already being developed here. There's a fairly good list of apps in development:

If you still don't see it, do a search - some test versions have not made it to the test release page.
Finally, you can post a formal request in the Request Apps forum.
