Sourceforge is running a poll, looking for votes for it's Project of the month. A few projects that are base apps of applications we have available are in the running.
Additionally, a rival site of ours, winpenpack.com, is in the running.
Vote now: http://twtpoll.com/zr8t18
on the "rival" site just wish when they use work from our developers that t hey would at least give credit to us

I'm with you on that one.
I'm amazed that they've somehow had more growth in the last the month than us - i find it unlikely, based on our "last week" numbers & theirs, yet they're currently top in the poll...
will be in the pudding real soon (when the newest release of one of my apps occurs)....cause I know one of mine was grabbed by them, I do not care that it was BUT since I did the initial work would like to at least see credit given

Their "menu" is nothing more than a context menu. I think PortableApps.com has been the project of the month a couple times in the past though, so I guess we can let them have this one.
Their current menu is just ASuite. Their up and coming menu is based on ASuite (so a similar interface for better or worse) but is .NET based, so it's not actually portable and will fail on most public machines (net cafe, library, hotel business center, even many university machines).
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
I'd guess it's relative growth. We have more absolute growth, but we're already the 4th most popular project on all of SourceForge (soon to be 3rd), so our relative growth is less. They're also promoting the poll on the front page of their website.

was my vote

Unfortunately, with the way things are going in the voting so far, winpenpack have it, unless enough people here get in there and vote for other apps.
We could spam the polls, too...
Check out the download numbers (since beginning of the year):
Portableapps: 7.519.597
Winpenpack: 49.083.
Do the math yourself.
"What about Love?" - "Overrated. Biochemically no different than eating large quantities of chocolate." - Al Pacino in The Devils Advocate
to state the obvious... about 153.2 times more popular than Winpenpack.
Scribus is the winner.
Apparently something went wrong with the voting process, but I don't find that info on the blog page (was in the newsletter).
Was so glad to see that Scribus triumphed, and even more surprised to see the candidates for next month included some of this months not so lucky ones....

The rationale for why those projects are getting a secondchance is explained here: http://sourceforge.net/blog/the-vote-for-the-march-potm/
Does make me wonder who did the "tampering" guess I got a personal beef with one of the sites, it may be nothing or it might be real...oh well
