Songbird running but not running?

Songbird running but not running?

I have just downloaded songbird when i run it i get the splash screen, but that is all?

If i look in task manager both songbird and songbird portable are shown as running.

Any ideas?

I don't use Songbird anymore

I don't use Songbird anymore myself, I prefer MediaMonkey (which is in the beta testing forum), but from what I remember it did take quite a while to show up on screen after running it, and that was from a USB drive with average to good speed.

If you are trying to run it from an older and/or slower drive, it could take quite a while to run.

Songbird takes an

Songbird takes an inordinately large amount of time to startup. The other possibility is that it's shown off the visible screen space (you can verify this by seeing if it exists in your taskbar).
