hide splash screen for scribus portable

A kind request for the developer of ScribusPortable: is it possible that next release will have an option for hiding the splashscreen (as per portable apps platform option in Advanced tab) or at least that it isn't set as "top most" - I mean it takes some good time to have the application loaded (especially if newer fonts are available) and in that time I would like to be able to watch / read a webpage or something else without having 60% of my screen covered with the splash-screen.

Thanks in advance and keep up the great work.

Click on it

The splash is displayed as per the base app. Just click on it, and it'll go away.

That was silly of me, thanks, never thought of clicking on it. Smile

Signature automatically removed for containing links. Really? I mean... really? Smile

Built In

If you want to permanently disable it, I think there may be a setting within Scribus itself. It's the app's own splash screen. It actually informs you of where in the load process it is (fonts, etc). We just add our logo to the bottom to ensure users know it is a modified version and to come here for support of its portable-ness.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Confirmed

The splashscreen can be disabled by unchecking "Show Splashscreen on Startup" at File->Preferences->General
