'ERROR: (chrome_installer.exe > chrome.7z)' on install

In Google Chrome, Skype and Frets on Fire (and others I can't recall at present), I get the error mentioned in the subject:
-> ERROR: (chrome_installer.exe > chrome.7z)

I initially used the PortableApps 10 platform, but replicated the error (with Chrome) by downloading directly from PortableApps.com (using an 'installed' Google Chrome).

I'm using Windows7 x64.

Can anyone shed light on why this is happening, or better, suggest a solution?

Also: how, please, can a bug request be submitted to PortableApps?
