How to make Skype Portable work from CD

finally i found a solution.

1. i created the directories
.\SkypePortable\App\Skype
.\SkypePortable\Data\settings

2. i put Skype.exe into .\SkypePortable\App\Skype

3. i packed my user-files previously created from another skype portable to a sfx-file (using winrar) with the following commands
(supposing the user-files are located in directory "User" you do not have to compress the whole directory but just the files located inside .\User)
Path=%temp%
SavePath
Silent=1
Overwrite=1

4. i put the sfx-file in .\SkypePortable\Data\settings

5. i created SkypePortable.bat with following commands and put it into .\SkypePortable
@echo off
start Data\settings\*.exe && start App\Skype\Skype.exe /datapath:"%temp%" /removable
exit

6. start skype from cd by double-clicking SkypePortable.bat

you have to excange *.exe with the name of your sfx-file. after having skype closed you may use ccleaner portable to clean the %temp%-folder.

Wrong

If You Want To Make Skype Portable Do This.

1.Goto C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone
2.Copy Skype.exe
3.Make Folder Called Portable Skype (On Desktop)
4.Paste File Into The Folder
5.Make A Folder Called data In The Portable Skype Folder
6.Make A File Called skype.bat In The Same Folder As Skype.exe
7.a.Edit skype.bat With Notepad
b.And Write skype.exe /datapath:"Data" /removable

We provide Google Chrome Portable as well. Why don't you want to use these?

Because...

I Don't Want To Download Google Chrome Because...
1. My Internet Is Slow (We Will Have No Internet For Some Days From 01/03/12)
2. My Computer Is Also Slow
3. I Don't Jet Have An Pen Drive But Only And SD Card With 245MB Or More

Maybe When I Will Have A Pen Drive Then I Will Download PortableApps Platform.

Use it by itself

Just download Google Chrome Portable; you don't need the Platform to get it to work. If you care about portability, it will do it properly.

(Then there's also this question: what do you intend to use Chrome for without an internet connection? It is of limited value without one.)

Emm...

When I Would Not Have An Internet Connection I Could Learn PHP5 So I Will Need Google Chrome, And I Might Play Around With HTML, Or Play With Computer Languages I Know. Smile

Edit:
I Have A Book About PHP5 Including XML And MySQL. Smile

Edit: (The Same Day As Last)
Why Are We Talking About Google Chrome When This Was "How To Run Skype From CD" Or Something Like That. Pardon
