I haven't seen anyone on Portable Apps mention Sleipnir (http://www.fenrir-inc.com/us/sleipnir/) Web Browser. It's a great browser I like using, and it looks great on Windows 8. I've looked around the internet and I've seen other sites offering Sleipnir Portable downloads (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=sleipnir+usb) so I think it can be done. I just haven't seen it on Portable Apps.
There are a few entries in the registry (HKLM, but I don't know why) and a file in All Users\Documents that it creates, but that's pretty much it. All cache is stored in a sub-folder, though, and I couldn't find an option to disable it, so chances are it'd run pretty slow off a flash drive.
I was modestly impressed by it though, and I'd do it if it wasn't for those two issues with it.
That's good to know. Thanks. It is a great browser.
I would love to see a portable version of Sleipnir. I would be running it from an external hard drive, so I don't believe it would run that slowly. Also, USB 3.0 is out and would make it possible to run a portable version of this from a flash drive.
Any news as to whether or not there will be a portable version of this? (in PortableApps.com Format of course)
Forget any other format bar PAL, because they don't update and on average leave more files/registry entries behind.
