DamnVid doesn't seem to work for me - I tried giving it full access with Kaspersky, but I think the problem is the program itself. I tried with the normal version on their website, and it still didn't work.
I was trying to download a video from YouTube, but it just doesn't seem to work. I've tried other video downloader programs(the normal desktop versions)and all of them work, apart from DamnVid.
Just want to know is it just me(and XP) or do other people have similar problems with this software
Thanks
Note: I am using Windows XP, and the latest version of PortableApps (v10).
Please try the following within the program: Help -> Check for updates ...
Afterwards test the program once again.
Thanks, but it's still is the same - I tried to download a video from YouTube, clicked 'Lets Go' and then a dialog box pops up saying 'Video Conversion Successful', 'No videos processed'
Maybe it is a problem with DamnVid on XP, as I had the same results with the normal version of DamnVid
Anyway, thanks for the suggestion.
I suspect that the problem is not associated with Windows XP. I also use the OS Windows XP SP3 and DamnVid works fine with it. The cause could be, that the firewall in Kaspersky does not granted DamnVid full access to the Internet. In addition it could be, that you have selected an invalid profile in DamnVid. Personally, I've tested the two profiles "MP3 (audio only)" and "Flash Video". In both cases the download of a Youtube video worked smoothly. Another possibility may be, that you does not have the permission in your country for some special Youtube videos. Also you can try the following within DamnVid: DamnVid -> Preferences -> Reset all
