LibreOffice 3.5.0 crashes when too many/too large files opened in Writer - doesn't give out-of-memory warning? Running directly from USB drive, trying to open 30 or 40 .docs. Several GB of disk space on both USB and hard drive available.
Can someone write an error handler for it? Maybe just stop opening files and display the ones already opened?

Have you tried tried this with a non-portable install of LibreOffice?
If this is also happening in a non-portable install please report it to the LibreOffice developers directly, as it is nothing that can be fixed here.
