I've used Ditto portable for quite a while, until some version, when it started acting up. I've tried lots, to no avail. Every few months I try again, but several issues always remain, e.g. QuickPaste window doesn't stay on top, lots of copying issues, entries aren't there or don't want to be pasted, etc.
Now I've tried an installed version for the first time and compared it to the portable version, and there! Everything works in the installed version!
What is wrong with the portable version, I'd rather want to use portable applications on portable devices than install programmes.

you tried deleting the portable version then reinstalling it? Not just reinstalling over it but removing it first?

Just tried. Nevertheless, Ditto quickpaste window doesn't stay on top, and worse, it is stealing focus from the background! I had to exit Ditto to be able to use the Windows Start menu all the way to the top again!
What I forgot to say, the other Ditto version I have, is also a portable version, but provided by Ditto as zip. No problems with that one! I don't understand it.
