I noticed that a lot of plugins are installed on my ThunderbirdPortable. Since the client is very, very slow, I wonder if this could depend on this (also on the fact that my USB drive is quite old).
What's your opinion?
For the list of plugin please see this image.
Thank you!
Looking at that shot, it looks like that's a list of plugins for Firefox, not Thunderbird?
They've got the same add-on system and will tend to detect the same plugins. So, as it's stated that it's Thunderbird, I guess it is.

Maybe, maybe not. Plugins have a tendency to be improperly coded and automatically installed on the system. A lot have been a big headache for Mozilla due to potential memory leaks and bad code slowing down the entire application.
If you disable plugins, Thunderbird may get a little better (I'm in the habit of disabling plugins I don't use; it also reduces the attack surface for malware). However, while you run it on a slow USB disk it will run slowly. There is an enormous performance difference between common USB disks and fast USB disks.

Thank you for your opinions.
I confirm that the screenshot has been taught from ThunderbirdPortable... Now I'm giong to disable some of them...
In fact, I also think that the USB speed is more important in determining the slowness of the client. Anyway, I've just bought a 7200 rpm 2.5" internal Hard Disk and a Box enclosure with USB 3.0 to make it portable: tomorrow it should be delivered...
That should do a great job of running any app.
